Maureen is an Artist.

As a young girl, Maureen channeled her love for working with her hands by designing and sewing her own clothing. She took classes in ceramic pottery, creating her very first platter, and glass beading. Maureen found a fascination in glass, enrolling in workshops where she would master the art of stained glass. She continued exposing herself to various forms of art to help feed her passion for the simple act of creating.

Maureen is a busy woman. With a full-time career, a loving husband, two daughters and her animals, she has always found a way to make time for her art. Next on her list of learning was fused glass. It only took one workshop at the Hot Box (Walnut Creek, CA) for Maureen to find her newest love in glass formation. The way the pieces of colored glass melted into perfect layers and the textures that could be created using various materials held her attention just so. Glass has become Maureen’s working canvas. Consistent. Beautiful. Endless possibilities.
